You all might have heard or even carrying a phone with 48 Mp rear camera module or even 64 Mp rear camera module.Resolution is getting bigger by every day and even we have also seen 108 Mp camera on Mi Note 10 pro ,Mi 10 series and Samsung S20 ultra and Samsung is innovating constantly in camera part.
Our eyes is said to match a resolution of 500 Mp. DSLR camera offer 40 Mp resolution and flagship phones are making a jump above that with 64 Mp, 108 Mp cameras.But still we haven't reached the human capabilities and we have a long way to go .
Samsung says,most cameras take that are visible to human eyes at wavelengths between 450 and 750 nm . Sensors are able to detect light wavelengths outside of that range that are hard to come by. In future we might be seeing sensors that can see micro-organisms that are not visible to human eye.
This is a big statement by Yongin Park,EVP,Head of Sensor Business Team ,System LSI Business.Samsung is not only developing image sensors but they are looking into other types of sensors that can register smells or tastes.
Samsung is prepared for the next wave of tech innovation.The image sensors till now have been in the smartphone field but it is expected that they will soon expand to autonomous vehicles,IoT and Drones .Samsung is proud for leading in small pixel,high-resolution sensor trend that will continue 2020 and thereafter.They are aiming for 600 Mp that can capture more detail than human eye.
