Not long ago the fitness trackers were only limited to Smart Bands which were in Budget and Smartwatches were expensive for Indian Market.But realme whose philosophy is #DareToLeap is constantly bringing new products with their goal to make a ecosystem which was shared by the company recently.

Mi Band series is one of the most sought fitness trackers in India due to rich features under budget. Realme also followed the footsteps of Xiaomi by launching realme band .Though it is priced quite cheaper from Mi Band and offers quite a lot but didn't work well due to some issues dim display which loses out on practical usage outdoors .It also lacks a Gyroscope .However it was a good offering from Realme.

Realme have been aggressively shifting towards the AIoT segment and SmartWatch is the latest offering which is also priced well since it was quite cheaper in the Smartwatch segment.This smartwatch is meant for masses who want to get away from regular Band and shift to a smartwatch.I used the Realme watch for a week and here is the full review of one of the affordable smartwatch in India.

Design:Realme Watch

Realme Buds Air design was inspired from Apple.This time there was no difference as well.The watch has a squarish  and minimal design which is rounded in the corners.The bezel in the bottom is about 2cm thick.The display area becomes less as bezels cover on all four sides.In the bottom bezel we get to see the realme branding which is subtly placed and can be seen under artificial light.

The silicon rubber strap material is quite good,durable and fits well on wrist.It is also water resistant and is detachable.

There is a capsule shaped physical button aligned on the right side of the watch and yellow mark on the button gives  it attention.

Realme Watch:Display

The Realme watch sports a 1.4" color touchscreen of 320X320 pixel resolution.It has max brightness at 380 nits and comes with the protection of 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The display is bright for indoors but for outdoors you need to set up to full brightness manually through settings to see the icons on the screen.The touch feedback is quite responsive even with sweaty hands.But finger impressions might smudge the display if there is no protective film.

Otherwise,the display is the best part of the device and it comes up well with the pricing.As of now the watch supports 12 Watch faces with default one displaying heart rate, time,date,weather,steps and calories burnt but Realme has officially confirmed that will it will add 100 faces through OTA. However there is no exact timeline for the update.

More Features and Performance

To enable it's full functionality you need to download the realme link app and connect with your phone.The watch will recognize your device via bluetooth connection and it's quite simple and easy pairing process.The app is only available on Play Store which means it is only for Android Devices so iOS users you better skip this watch for now.

Once you set it up and you land on the homescreen that has a watch face swipe up the from the central part of display to reach a new screen where you could see the activity options like workout,Heart rate,SpO2,Sleep,Music,Camera,Find My Phone,Meditation ,Alarm,Stopwatch and settings.The last one helps you to unlock certain functionalities like Do Not Disturb,raise to wake,time format and display brightness.

The workout modes include Cricket,Yoga,Outdoor Run,Indoor Run,Aerobic Capacity,Strength Training,Football,Basketball,

Badminton,Table Tennis and Indoor cycle.Continuous heart monitoring can be turned on or off.

Battery Life:Long enough?

The watch comes with 160 mAh battery which can offer upto 7 days of battery life with heart rate monitoring on and nine days without it.
During my usage I set the display brightness set to 40% in indoors,and there was still 48% remaining in the 5th day of usage which means the battery can still last upto 9 to 10 days of average usage on a single charge if the nature of your exercise normal exercise or yoga.However I am not much of a fitness freak so my usage included 24-hour heart rate monitoring,sleep tracking .Once the battery is low you can conserve it by power-saving mode.Also you can't measure heart rate manually when battery dips to 10%.
The watch is shipped with a small ,flat circular charger which can fully charge your watch from 0 to 100% within 2.5 hours.The charging base has two pins that attach magnetically to two points at the backside of the watch.The magnetic connection holds the watch quite well when you shake off the base from the watch lightly it doesn't come off easily.It is recommended to keep the watch on table while charging.

Realme watch has everything which you can expect at this price segment .It has a comfortable fit and is light on hands.Also it is IP 68 rated and is durable and quite a Apple watch design which looks good on hands.The display part has been the place where only little compromises is done and again no complains at this price point.It appears well on eyes.So should you consider this watch? Definitely yes,since this is the first gen smartwatch from Realme and is done well.If you want to enter the realme ecosystem you can buy this watch.

However if you are looking for something different then Amazefit Bip S lite is an option.Also there is Noise ColorFit Pro 2 which is priced at Rs.3,499 .But with a price tag of Rs.3,999 and realme's aggressive pricing and brand value since it is backed by Oppo, Realme Smartwatch is great deal if we consider it's few ifs and buts this watch is sweet for it's price tag.
